Replicon iPhone Facelift

Modernizing the UI of Replicon’s iPhone application for time management

Summary

I had the opportunity to work under a fantastic well know agency by the name of Pivotal Labs.  I was deployed while staffed under Replicon to join a redesign effort of the iPhone application.  My role was to redesign the UI to a “modernized” state, and work closely with the Pivotal Labs dev team on implementation.  The project shaped up to be around 8-12weeks while we worked daily to revamp the entire application.
From a design perspective, this was primarily a UI-Visual Design project, but we reworked some of the architecture and leveraged the well populated Pivotal Labs office to user test and conduct design reviews.  When it was all said an done, the application launched to our customers and was "featured" on Apple’s app store.

Time Off

We redesigned each UI component from the ground up along with a rearchitecting the navigation.  The following is a glance at how employees can request time off through Replicon's Time Off feature.

Expenses

With Replicon Expense Sheets, employees can create claims for business expenditures.  We aimed for simplicity and consistency across features.

Timesheets

Timesheets are the bread and butter for Replicon users.  We provided a simple interface for employees to log their work hours for the day.

Design System

Throughout the project, I assembled components one by one, state by state to create a cohesive library to bring back to the Replicon design team.   These components laid the foundation for a formalized design system.
