Replicon CloudClock
Designing a kiosk style timesheet logging app for tablet devices
Summary
One of the most unique digital products I've worked on to date was Replicon's CloudClock app. The product was built to replace the physical timestamp tool many of us have experienced using in workplaces. Those reading this that have previously worked retail understand. A digital version of this mechanism offers many advantages for employees and employers including portability, security, and timesheet accuracy.
Over the course of a year I worked on various features for the product across Android tablet and iPad devices. We eventually piloted the kiosk style usage of the product within our own office and with a couple existing customers we had close relationships with. I handed off the project to another colleague before leaving the company The timestamp feature (Clock In, Clock Out)was eventually integrated into our existing mobile phone applications.
Clock In Clock Out
The most commonly used feature is to Clock In and Clock Out. Whether you're on a construction site, office, or retail store employees can start and stop their time with one tap.

Android Features
I spent the majority of my efforts on the Android version of the app. We initially piloted many of the features on Android initially due to development capacity. The first Clock In feature leveraged QR technology to identify the employee.
