Redesigning the experience with the latest material design styling for Android
Summary
During my tenure at Replicon, Google had released their brand new Material Design guidelines. As an owner of all things design on Replicon’s Android mobile app I saw an opportunity to redesign the UI. The app is essentially a time keeping product for employees. Employees use it to track their timesheets, scheduling, expenses and more.
I worked solo using a handful of select features to pilot the fresh new UI undergoing several design iterations, user testing, and presentations to stakeholders. While I worked to achieve buy-in from stakeholders I wasn’t able to see the project to implementation before leaving the company. Nevertheless it was a great effort to raise the bar of design at the company and get the ball rolling.
